On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation,
I welcome you to the XI International Camping Congress.

Today, great attention is paid to the issues of kids’ recreation and health improvement. Therefore, one of the primary tasks of the central government is to establish a meaningful dialogue with representatives of expert organizations, schools and parent committees, as well as the business community in order to combine efforts in creating the conditions for quality and safe children's recreation activities.

I have a strong belief that the Congress programme will contribute to finding new solutions in improving the kids’ recreation and health improvement system, in developing advanced pedagogical technologies and attracting public and private partnerships and investment in education in general.

I wish all the participants fruitful work, successful exchange of experience and professional ideas!

On behalf of the International Camping Fellowship, I am pleased to add my voice of welcome and encouragement to attend the 11^th International Camping Congress in Sochi, Russia. For 30 years (since 1987), the ICF has been ‘bringing together the world of outdoor experience’. Exactly 20 years ago (in 1997), we attended our very first Congress outside of North America to meet the wonderful camping spirit of Russia in St Petersburg. Attendees at that Congress still talk about the incredible events that took place at that Congress.

At every Congress since 1997, the Russian delegations have been the largest, the most spirited and the most enthusiastic of the international delegations in attendance. We look forward to gathering in southern Russia, this time, in beautiful Sochi, to continue our sharing, our learning and our growing together.

And here we are in 2017. No matter your country of origin or your experience in camping, there will be wonderful things to share this October, in sessions and keynotes as well in conversations and tours. The theme of “Sharing Happiness with Children around the World” will bring us all closer to our camping goals.

Professional communication is what we are constantly missing! Our Congress is a continuation of the tradition and a new beginning.

Social effect from activity camps for children in the modern world is huge. Today we can confidently talk about the particular course of the formation of a single educational space camp international movement focused on the development of the child, no matter what culture he is from.

It gives me great pleasure to extend to the participants of XI International Camping Congress a very warm welcome on behalf of the entire agency “Mosgortour” – Russian’s leader in the field of the children’s recreation. We really appreciate, that 20 years later, the Congress is held here, in Russia, again. It is our privilege to welcome you in Sochi, at the famous Rosa Khutor Resort.

XI International Camping Congress brought together representatives of countries from all continents. Today we all are different in terms of our experiences, approaches and possibilities. To Participants of the XI International Congress of Children's Camps for Recreation!

Allow me to welcome all the participants of this forum on behalf of the company "Business Innovations".

A brilliant phrase "Childhood is a huge land, where everyone comes from" belongs to the French writer Antoine de Saint-Exupery. And tomorrow of our civilization depends on the way we cultivate this "land" today. The XI International Congress is a large-scale and extremely important event in the field of organizing active rest for children aimed at a full-fledged recreational effect - the physical and spiritual development of children outside school curricula.
